In the world of growing spammy emails, we need to filter them out but also want to ensure important emails do not land in SPAM folder. The Google algorithms to help in this filtering of spam works but is not perfect int he real world. An average user typcially checks his spam folder few times depending on the amount of email traffic, to check if there is an important email lost in spam.

Follow these 2 simple steps for EMAIL FILTERING to prevent your important emails from landing into SPAM folder in Gmail. You can choose to explicitly filter a sender, or use a specific keyword to map required emails to your INBOX. While logged into your gmail accoun, click the GEAR icon at the top right to find ‘Settings’ .

STEP 1 – In GMAIL Settings, choose ‘Filters and Blocked Addresses’ as shown in the image to initiate the option ‘Create a New FIlter’.

STEP 2 – Setup Filter , finish this step by choosing “Never Send it to SPAM” and finalise the step by clicking “CREATE FILTER” button.
