Gsuite removing Domaincontact link 31 Aug 2020

Received email from Gsuite [Action Required] Remove internal links to the Gsuite Domain Contact page for your organization

The Domain Contact page is applicable or gets visible if the Gsuite administrator for your Gsuite account has enabled a support page with his contact details e.g., “The users should contact <admin name or email > in case they have issues with “Gsuite account.”
Users make use of this link mentioned in the email – http://www.google.com/a/<domain-name>/DomainContact (replace domain-name with your Gsuite verified domain) in their support documents. This link will no longer work as of August 31, 2020, resulting in a “404 Error” code.

All users of Gsuite have received an email communication recently (Aug 2020). It is a message to communicate that Gsuite is discontinuing a contact page feature due to low volume.

In large oganisations woth multiple gsuite users, gsuite admin or primary user can use a contact page to display a ‘support message’ for their  Gsuite account. Most of the people do not use this feature, and Gsuite is now discontinuing it. There is no need to worry about theis email.

It is useful for gsuite owners who have set up this contact page link for users > https://gsuite.google.com/dashboard where they see support message set up by the owner/ admin. You do not need to worry if this link is not set using the admin setup (admin.google.com > Account settings > Profile > Support Message )
It’s now deprecated, as most admins are using it as a way of providing contact details (theirs or of other admins, which is basically violating… to say so, the policies for information privacy’
